We've lost the signal connecting us with the astronaut designed on this Doodle Speaker and the effect is cool yet, somehow, eerie. I like the TV bars on the helmet's face and the subdued colors on this fine design by 785Tees, a store with a wide variety of great concepts on tees, prints and other goodies!
Watchman's Note
This is a journey to the best designs in the world of Zazzle.com. Handpicked and presented (along with my own artwork) by yours truly, the driving force behind Surreality designs. We'll discover great artists and special products -mostly with a taste for the eccentric. But let us not confine ourselves in specific genres: the possibilities are endless and so is the great art one can find at Zazzle.

Fat cap hoodie
A fat cap is a special nozzle for a spray paint can that widens the spray area. It's widely used by graffiti artists and it's the inspiration for the great pop art design that gives a unique flavor to this black hoodie.
Blue, bold, minimal, symbolic: the perfect introduction to TogaOne , an artist with a fresh and strong style. I bet we'll be hearing more about him soon so you'd better go and check him out now!

Pop shoes
Let's welcome spring with a pair of delicious pop art shoes! I'm talking about PRO-Keds Royal Hi sneakers, with a light, tritone design of a retro girl's head (Scooby-Doo's brunette comes to mind!), happily splashing the white canvas. You get the feeling that walking in these would bring a smile to your face!
This bubblegum pop delight comes from the talented hands of Jon Griffin -and it sure feels nice to revisit his store and see that he always keeps it fresh and interesting!

Art deco pop
An art deco floral motif provides inspiration for this colorful roundel. It's great both as a standalone design and combined with this fine, discreet gray background.
I like the way the vintage elements blend in a contemporary, pop-ish way. The color combination is great, too!
It's been a long time since I added a retropop design and I'm really satisfied with this one. I believe you'll see more artwork along these lines in the future, quite possibly with a more surreal touch. Look for more products with the Flora Deco design in Surreality.

A gentleman from Denmark
There is no limit to people's surreal creativity. Look at this eye-popping fridge magnet picturing a Great Dane. It's pure pop madness -of the dog loving, sartorially inspired, kind! I absolutely need this for my fridge and I know where to get it: Ada Birk's Doggenhaus, the shop where dog designs fraternize with vibrant colors.

Free and beautiful
How come this vibrant painting of a young girl with an umbrella walking on the streets of Dublin reminds me so much of summer? Well, I guess it's the colors. This explosion of warm, glorious colors balancing with the subtler, cooler hues that transform the image into a dreamy walk towards the seaside.
This is an exquisite poster from Nerosunero, the store that showcases the great work of Mario Sughi -an Italian illustrator living in Dublin.
His vivid style is said to bring back memories of David Hockney but I think (looking at the sexy "Dancing" poster) that there is a trace of good old Milo Manara in there, too. All this namedropping can be quite unfair: Mario's artwork conveys a unique flavor and his good-looking people and psychedelic landscapes form his own, distinctive universe. An enchanting, sensual universe that gets richer by a hidden sadness and a nostalgic touch. That's the material life -and summers- are made of!

Total Eclipse of the Heart torpedoed
You just have to see this to believe it. Hurra Torpedo is a Norwegian band, dressed in ill-fitting jogging suits, that uses kitchen appliances in the role of percussion (well, they probably have the best deep freeze player in the world!).
When you're surreal enough, fame will come your way. Hurra Torpedo's crazy cover of Bonnie Tyler's Total eclipse of the heart spread as a meme on fire and came to show the world that weird, underground humor and applied surrealism can get you far. Provided you find people like yours truly to appreciate all this madness, of course!

Red sun
This superb black t-shirt carries a great painting (by French artist Frederik Bellanger ) called Soleil Rouge (Red Sun). It's a beautiful abstract with spray painting details that remind me of graffiti. The fine balance of the sunset colors he uses and the honeycomb motif are irresistible!
Frederic's art is pop-influenced and the spraying gives it a contemporary, urban flair, but I think that he goes a lot further than just being cool. Check his store and you'll find a great talent.

Attack of the Burramundi
Look at these little devils descending like a squadron of Stukas on your desk! They are the fabulous Burramundi (though they look like cute flying piranhas to me) made by artist Kerry One, and they look great indeed. Nothing's better than a flock of awesome, colorful... somethings on a blue sky to cheer you up.

What's "E" for
Well, it's quite obvious: E is for Elephant. A pop-art, polka-dotted elephant with a cute tail, found on Best Kids store. Man, do I love those colors!
Best Kids offer a great variety of designs with children in mind, but I'm not too old to rock'n'roll yet, so I decided I'm on their target group. Plus, I'm begging for their "M is for Murder" version!

Tiki feelgood
Want pagan but not the usual stuff? Want it with a twist? Well, here's the deal: what about an ancient Polynesian carving of sacred significance on your shirt? Cover your torso with this fine pop-art, orange on brown, tiki face, right from Spikemandesigns. Yes, there are more colors and styles to choose from but, in my not so humble opinion, this is the absolute best.
And, in case you thought I forgot the surreal part of it all, check this out:
Yes, Spikemandesigns has more tricks up it's sleeve than super-tikis. This mind works in mysterious ways and finds connections between golden boys, pantyhose, recession and offbeat products to keep you stimulated!

The Original Pink Freud T-Shirt by Zoey_London
Buy a t-shirt online from Zazzle
Pink Freud? Oh yes! A striking design by Zoey London, makes a fantastic t-shirt. The surreality of this idea simply amazes me. And yet, it doesn't stop here. Our collective unconscious is attacked by more pop music/psychology/whatever eye candy:
