Attention to detail, exquisite craftsmanship and, most of all, the ability to transform the political into art makes Emek one of the most talented artists around. I love this surreal corn fish (a design against genetically modified food) and his incredible phonoskull, but his store is full of equally amazing artwork.

Emek has worked with Radiohead, Tool, System of a Dawn, Neil Young and Henry Rollins (amongst many others), has been interviewed and featured countless times and i"m almost ashamed that I just descovered about his artsproject/zazzle store.

His strong, smart imagery can get addictive! Take a look at his store and then go check his site, www.emek.net, for his fabulous poster work which -alas!- is not offered in his zazzle shop.

In times of increased political hoopla it's very common to see countless designs featuring the faces and/or names of politicians. Most of these designs are rubbish but every now and then someone comes up with a true gem.

That's the case with this t-shirt that popifies President Barack Obama in a simple, striking manner. I've been waiting for a politically neutral time to present you with this one, and I think it captures the very mechanisms that transform a man into a cultural phenomenon. He may not prove to be as long-lasting as Che, but then again who is? (Except Elvis, Mickey Mouse and Lenin, of course!)

Kudos to Chris Jackson (you'll find this t-shirt on his Siegeworks store) for taking the spirit of the times and adding some glitter to it!

Artists Against the War is a collective formed by several artists and designers, offering powerful and interesting artwork that opposes war, violence and arms. I particularly like this strong black and white poster by The Love Movement but there is plenty of peace-promoting beauty to choose from.

Some designs are provocative (and I do mean it in a good way!), some are tender, others take a stand on very sensitive subjects, but they all serve the purpose of promoting peaceful coexistence and keeping people alive. That's something I can relate to and I respect them for daring to try.

Rob's photography and fine sense of composition are used to make statements and tell stories. It's not just about postcards, cards and other useful products, it's about focusing on life and sharing the things you see. Overall, a great artist and a great store!
