This is a journey to the best designs in the world of Zazzle.com. Handpicked and presented (along with my own artwork) by yours truly, the driving force behind Surreality designs. We'll discover great artists and special products -mostly with a taste for the eccentric. But let us not confine ourselves in specific genres: the possibilities are endless and so is the great art one can find at Zazzle.

Psychedelic nature

I don't know whether this pretty iPad case is hallucinogenic as it's title implies, but I can tell you that this great illustration caught my attention! I discovered it in Rupy de Tequila store, the place were Ruth Fitta-Schulz showcases her amazing digital art. Rita has a rare sense of color and an imagination that brings forth playful childhood images.

It's difficult to decide on favorites from her amazing store. I could point out, though, that she has a special talent for unique, unprecedented Keds shoes designs, like this Dark Fruits beauty. Do check out her artwork: I guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Pop shoes

Let's welcome spring with a pair of delicious pop art shoes! I'm talking about PRO-Keds Royal Hi sneakers, with a light, tritone design of a retro girl's head (Scooby-Doo's brunette comes to mind!), happily splashing the white canvas. You get the feeling that walking in these would bring a smile to your face!
This bubblegum pop delight comes from the talented hands of Jon Griffin -and it sure feels nice to revisit his store and see that he always keeps it fresh and interesting!

Furry enough?

It struck me as weird and camp. So I did it! I put fur on stuff. Well, not fur exactly... I put a photo texture of fur on stuff. So now you can have your own furry iPhone 3G Speck case or your furry mouse pad...

Looks soft and plush enough to fondle! Kitsch, you say? Well, in a funny way that's exactly the point, Dear Watson! You may even get addicted enough to buy yourselves some furry Keds shoes:

They are furry as it gets (considering they're made of canvas) and they do have a certain appeal. So, go furry on stuff -the Surreality way- on my Furry products page!

Damn good shoes!

There are many fine designs and products in Dizzy Debbie's store, but I fell in love with these canvas shoes since the first time I saw them. You can customize laces, soles or binding but, please, don't. They are gorgeous just as she made them, in this soft, grungy, plaid pattern. Surreality approved and endorsed!

Hairy slothy

This is the absolute king of taking it slow. Sloths, the slow-moving, low-metabolism mammals that live in rainforests, inspired Brett Manning to showcase her abilities (and her fine attention to detail) with pens in this great design. She's at her best depicting hairy, rootsy, entangled images, while keeping a sense of lightness and balance.
Take a look at this one:
A great shoe design and an inventive transformation of natural elements into a bizarre (and extremely appealing) fashion item. All this and more, from her store BrettIsAGirl.
Oh, and don't forget to visit Brett's website for more illustration magic (plus some great lettering!).

Step on it!

I don't know how many people are aware that there are many unique Keds Shoes at Zazzle. Some of them are great, one of a kind designs, that anyone (well... mainly ladies) would be proud to wear. This one, designed by Katie Vollan, is one of the best I've ever seen! An exquisite red paisley design, refined, elegant and playfull. I would love to see it worn with jeans, but I believe it would compliment anything that goes well with red. If you walk in these shoes, you walk in style!
