The yeti and the whale
My surreality sensors are about to explode in front of this mouse pad. Lionel the Lion-faced boy (a two-headed Chewbacca look-alike) stands under a jumping whale. The duo is pictured in front of London's Hammersmith Bridge -plus a red background. Folks... you have to see this.
It's one of Zosia Olenska's artworks and, boy, is she unexpected or what! Her themes include peacock mutants, sea foxes, guts and all sorts of crazy stuff that make eccentric people like me happy! Way to go, Zosia!

Furry enough?
It struck me as weird and camp. So I did it! I put fur on stuff. Well, not fur exactly... I put a photo texture of fur on stuff. So now you can have your own furry iPhone 3G Speck case or your furry mouse pad...
Looks soft and plush enough to fondle! Kitsch, you say? Well, in a funny way that's exactly the point, Dear Watson! You may even get addicted enough to buy yourselves some furry Keds shoes:
They are furry as it gets (considering they're made of canvas) and they do have a certain appeal. So, go furry on stuff -the Surreality way- on my Furry products page!

A dog to rest your mouse on
This upbeat mousepad made my day. I like the way the puppy cartoon follows the pad's form and the big black shape of the ear that gets cut off: it gives the design a funny bottled look while keeping the essence of...dogness!
I found this sweet and cheerful at ZoomWear and I'm sure it'll look nice on any desk.

Asses and baby-eating
I knew her as an amazing, hilarious blogger, not as a zazzler. After finding her store, aptly named The Bloggess, I realized that her surreal sarcasm extends to crazy designs as well. "Ass magnet" is an amazing idea and a must have for all you smart, perverted souls out there!
Have you ever felt the need for cute, baby-eating cats? Well, Jenny Lawson tells it like it is:
This mousepad is awesome because people will see it and they'll be all "Aw, what a sweet kitty!" and then they'll read the bottom and they'll be all confused and they'll back out of your office without ever giving you whatever work they wanted you to do. The cat on this mousepad just saved you from work. Also, it eats babies.
For once, I'm speechless. I should add, though, that if you haven't visited her blog, The Bloggess (Like Mother Teresa, only better), you are missing out on the craziest, most enjoyable rumblings this side of the web!

Darth Vader on kitcsh
What can I say? I try to avoid big brands but some people find ways to crack you up! Here's Darth Vader wearing a cosby sweater, wreaking havoc on every sense of good taste imaginable. This disturbing exhibition of Dark Side hideousness can be found in many products in Star Wars zazzle store. The colors of yule adorn this funny abomination but it may serve your sinister, nerdy purposes all year round!

Alice, insane
After her adventures through the looking-glass, Alice becomes the sole survivor of a fire that kills her family, loses her sanity and is institutionalized. Years later she enters a twisted Wonderland in an attempt to save the place -and her own mind.
All these things happened (as many of you already know) in American McGee's Alice action game. This stunner from 2000 featured superb artwork and music from Chris Vrenna (of Nine Inch Nails fame). It has sold more than 1.5 million copies and has influenced many artists.
Artwork from this game is offered from American McGee's Alice Zazzle store, and it's simply great! Both those who are waiting for the much-expected sequel and those who haven't experienced Alice before, should have a look at this shop: it's worth it!

Sign of the Sacred Chao
A new design where the Hollywood sign gets the discordian treatment! The famous lettering is used to spell Holy Chao, the Sacred Chao of Discordianism. What is the Chao?

The Sacred Chao symbolizes absolutely everything anyone need ever know about absolutely anything, and more! It even symbolizes everything not worth knowing, depicted by the empty space surrounding the Hodge-Podge.You could say it's the symbol that depicts the balance between order and chaos. In this case, I used the Hollywood cultural reference as a pretext to convey the meaning of the Sacred Chao without showing the symbol itself. A simple, humorous mashup, really. Figures in between
Between life and death? Heaven and hell maybe, or even good and evil? It could mean between different states of consciousness but it doesn't really matter. What matters is that this is a hauntingly great painting by Jaime Zatloukal Best, a very talented lady.These abstract figures showcase her fine work and could look great on your desk. Attack of the Burramundi
Look at these little devils descending like a squadron of Stukas on your desk! They are the fabulous Burramundi (though they look like cute flying piranhas to me) made by artist Kerry One, and they look great indeed. Nothing's better than a flock of awesome, colorful... somethings on a blue sky to cheer you up.

Clean elegance
This is an elegant letterhead based on an almost abstract artwork (plus some happy butterflies flying amongst the paint smudges!). You'll have to customize it, which is super-easy, but it will be great to write on this smooth and tender design by Clean World, a shop full of abstract nature and textured finesse by John Finnegan-Allen.

Yesterday's snow
Was it the day the picture was taken? Is it something special on February 11th, something that changed the artist's life? We don't know and it doesn't matter. What matters is this strange design with the red and ochre hues and the grungy texture. The weird-looking sky and the wires that travel through it. It's a great mousepad from Krissy B.
I love the use of these vibrant colors over dirty backgrounds. Krissy's style is at it's best when it is unexpected and intense. Plus, dinosaurs never looked so playful before!

Handmade 3D
I love this unique combination of sculpture and painting. Notice the details! The postures and the colors are excellent. A great poster by Anne Klar's Art Store, where Anne Klar exhibits some serious skill and artistic sensibilities in the creation of these unique designs.

Creepy sweet
Creeps can have a heart too, according to this funny design from Blonde Bomb Shelter. This quintessential image of lawlessness holds a red balloon, thus transforming a simple mousepad into a delightful paradox. All that and great colors too, in the gallery's trend of attitude, black humor and good taste.

Death mill
Even Don Quixote would find it a tough deal to attack this ominous mill. An otherworldly sense of doom prevails in this gloomy design by MDKgraphics. This is no surprise, since the gallery's designs have a tendency to picture the dark side. UFO's, aliens, horror,dark fantasy, fetish are the main thing here -often with a humorous touch.
Abductions can be funny (at least if you're not the poor, surprised pig in this card) but the Canadian artist that lurks behind MDKgraphics is at his best when portraying the paranormal. Did I mention that Surreality Watch loves the paranormal? If you do too -and otherwise you wouldn't be reading this- have a closer look at his work.

The joys of old-fashioned spiritualism meet the digital world via this ouija mousepad. Click away if you dare to make contact with the afterlife, but be careful: some say there are things that could prove to be much more dangerous to download than a virus! This clever spirit board-turned-mousepad design can be found at MortiRiuuallon, the gallery of graphic designer Gabriela Ruella, along with other extraordinary and colorful stuff.
My favorite product line is the Land of Absurdia , whose inhabitants (like the magnificent Succarath above) existed in the mind of travelers and cartographers of the past. Gabriella gives them life, adding a psychedelic touch to the recipe and creating some seriously coveted pieces of South American intensity.

Library stroll
Being a bookworm, I can't help but loving this design by Courtney Snyder's Memoir. It looks awesome on a mousepad but I love it on a coffee mug too. Here, check it out:
It makes me think of sitting on a warm living room during those cold winter nights that lay ahead, reading and sipping hot coffee. Courtney Snyder creates interesting, colorful designs -it was difficult choosing this one! She has an interesting blog with background stories about her work.
